Blackpool south shore has such well known attractions as the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle Waterworld complex. The internationally famous Pleasure Beach has many rides and other entertainments and is the most popular tourist attraction in the country. The Sandcastle with its great rides and swimming facilities is the largest indoor waterpark in Britain. Blackpool south pier is also in this area and it has holiday activities and entertainments such as stalls amusements, rides and a family bar. The Great Promenade Show extends from the Sandcastle to Squires Gate, a distance of one and a quarter miles and comprises ten specially commissioned works from designers and artists, which provide interpretations of the resorts environment. It includes for example the world’s biggest dance hall mirror, which is symbolic of the town’s premier status as a ballroom capital.
